Time for reservations!

Hi all,

Just wanted to update you regarding reservations. Things are starting to fill up so if you want to join us I'd recommend getting serious about getting your reservations in. The value rooms are all gone; however, there are still some ocean view and beach front rooms avalible. I have talked to the resort and they will hold a reservation for just one night's deposit rather than 1/2 of the total that is their typical deposit requirement as indicated on their website.

The big day is February 10, 2010!

We are so excited to be able to share our wedding day with all of you! We'll be getting hitched on February 10th at Bolongo Bay Beach Resort in St. Thomas. For those wanting to attend I thought I'd put together a blog where we can get the details out to everyone. If you want to stay at the resort we have made arrangements for discounts for our guests (20% off all-inclusive packages and 25% off european plan which is room only) you can visit the Bolongo Bay website at http://www.bolongobay.com/ for the pricing and room types. In order to take advantage of the discounts you will need to make a reservation as soon as possible (you can make arrangements for payment with the resort directly -- payment in full does not need to be made at the time of the reservation and reservations can be cancelled within the standard policies) Guests should plan to arrive on Saturday Feb 6th and depart on Thursday Feb 11th for a 5 day package. When you call to make your reservations reference the Ferguson/Marks wedding and they will have the set discount for our block of rooms.

Here is some samples on the pricing:

All inclusive Ocean view room for 2 people normally would be $632.00 per day with the discount your price is $505.60 per day. Extra person adult $136.00 Child $78.40. That would be the price for everything. All food, drinks, and taxes.

European Plan Ocean view room for 2 people normally would be $330.00 plus tax $379. With the discount your price is $247.50 plus tax $309.38. Extra person adult $21.56
Child $12.93.

Here is some info on flights -- I search for flights both from SLC and from Philly. From SLC there is a Delta flight that departs at 11:59 pm on the 5th and arrives in St.Thomas on the 6th at 1:50 pm connecting through JFK. Departing St. Thomas on the 11th at 2:40 pm and arriving back in SLC at 11:09 pm again connecting through JFK. The price on that flight when I pulled it up was $499.

From Philly there are direct flights to St. Thomas on US Airways departing PHL on the 6th at 10:00 am arriving in St. Thomas at 2:47 pm. Departing St. Thomas on the 11th at 4:00 pm arriving in PHL at 7:08 pm and the price on that one was $423.

As you all know Bob and I are big divers and so of course we will be diving while there. For those that would like to join us for diving or snorkeling, Bolongo Bay has a dive shop right there on location you can access the dive shop web site at www.stthomasdivingclub.com/ the boat holds 15 so there should be room for anyone that wants to join us. You will want to make a reservation for diving/snorkeling in addition to your resort reservation.
